Territorial Acknowledgement

ACESS Canada acknowledges that the land on which we gather is situated on the traditional territories of the Original Peoples of Turtle Island. We pay our respects to the land and to Elders past, present, and future.

We acknowledge that our ancestors arrived in this land through government-sponsored colonisation of unceded territory.

We rarely learned the traditional names of these lands and their importance to the Original Peoples. Although we cannot change the past, we can aspire towards a better future.
