Program Overview
The Mental Health & Wellness Program provides culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support to refugees, immigrants, women, youth, and families. The program focuses on promoting emotional resilience, reducing stigma, and ensuring that newcomers can access the mental-health resources they need to thrive in Canada.
Core Components
Individual & Group Counselling
Access to culturally aware counsellors and peer-support groups for stress, trauma, grief, anxiety, and adjustment challenges.
Workshops & Community Training
Sessions on stress management, emotional regulation, parenting under stress, healthy relationships, and coping strategies during settlement.
Crisis Intervention & Referral Support
Immediate assistance for those dealing with mental-health emergencies and guided referrals to licensed professionals or community mental-health services.
Youth Mental-Health Support
Safe spaces for young people to express themselves, build confidence, and receive mentorship, including support for those affected by bullying, identity challenges, or school stress.
Women’s Emotional Well-Being Support
Specialized support circles for women facing isolation, trauma, family pressures, or gender-based challenges.
Holistic Wellness Activities
Activities such as mindfulness, fitness, art therapy, nature walks, and cultural healing practices to support overall well-being.
